Accountant - month-end close (Little Rock, AR)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Mill Foods Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 837 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production batches, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around allergen controls against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
