Accountant - month-end close (Las Vegas, NV)

Stonegate Orchard Energy is an energy provider in Las Vegas focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around service connections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Las Vegas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
