Accountant - month-end close (Las Vegas, NV)

Bluepeak Oak Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Las Vegas area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. We invest in training. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to network equipment, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around outage reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Las Vegas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
