Accountant - month-end close (Las Vegas, NV)

Lumen Clear Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Las Vegas region, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to packing house output, and clear open items. • Track costs around seasonal crews against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with packing house output. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Las Vegas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
