Accountant - month-end close (Jacksonville, FL)

Bluepeak Ashton Inspection Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for client sites, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around test reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Jacksonville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
