Accountant - month-end close (Fresno, CA)

Redstone Yarrow Hospitality runs guest-focused properties across the Fresno area, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around reviews and feedback against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to food costs, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with food costs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
