Accountant - month-end close (Fresno, CA)

Redstone Technologies is an education provider in Fresno serving students and families, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. Families are partners. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around student accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fresno. • We reply to every applicant.
