Accountant - month-end close (Fort Worth, TX)

Highbridge Sparrow Civic Services Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for case files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around permits against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with case files.
