Accountant - month-end close (Fort Worth, TX)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Cobalt Medical Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Track costs around regulatory submissions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to training materials, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with training materials. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Fort Worth, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
