Accountant - month-end close (Fort Worth, TX)

Bright Corner Early Learning Group operates neighbourhood childcare around Fort Worth. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Fort Worth. • We reply to every applicant.
