Accountant - month-end close (El Paso, TX)

We are growing our team at Silverline Quill Facilities Partners and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Bilingual teams are common. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to contractor visits, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around supply orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in El Paso, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
