Accountant - month-end close (Denver, CO)

Northwind Bridge Care Services supports families and individuals in Denver with personal care and coordination, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Denver. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
