Accountant - month-end close (Denver, CO)

Clearpath Glen Civic Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for constituent requests, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Denver. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to constituent requests, and clear open items. • Track costs around public records against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Denver, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
