Accountant - month-end close (Dallas, TX)

Amberfield Glen Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for account openings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 383 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Track costs around deposit accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account openings, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with account openings. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
