Accountant - month-end close (Dallas, TX)

Foxglove Oak Inspection Services is an inspection company in Dallas with field technicians and lab staff, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with field inspections. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Dallas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
