Accountant - month-end close (Dallas, TX)

Silverline Field Community Partners Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for food distribution, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to food distribution, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around donor records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with food distribution. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
