Accountant - month-end close (Colorado Springs, CO)

Clearpath Union Health Group is a healthcare provider in Colorado Springs with clinics and support teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 14 people based in Colorado Springs. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient scheduling, and clear open items. • Track costs around clinic supplies against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Colorado Springs. • We reply to every applicant.
