Accountant - month-end close (Cincinnati, OH)

Redstone Umber Inspection Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for client sites, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around certifications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client sites, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client sites. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Cincinnati, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
