Accountant - month-end close (Cincinnati, OH)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Sparrow Inspection Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scheduling, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Cincinnati. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
