Accountant - month-end close (Charlotte, NC)

Amberfield Cobalt Medical Group builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Charlotte. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory submissions, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
