Accountant - month-end close (Buffalo, NY)

Amberfield Cedar Hospitality Partners runs guest-focused properties across the Buffalo area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 167 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to guest bookings, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with guest bookings. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
