Accountant - month-end close (Baltimore, MD)

Rivermark Loom Medical designs and makes medical devices in Baltimore. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 179 people based in Baltimore. What you will do • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
