Accountant - month-end close (Baltimore, MD)

Clearpath Field Financial is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for account servicing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around customer onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with account servicing. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
