Accountant - month-end close (Baltimore, MD)

Bright Rook Manufacturing Partners makes precision components in Baltimore. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Baltimore. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
