Accountant - month-end close (Baltimore, MD)

Rivermark Quill Health Group is a healthcare provider in Baltimore with clinics and support teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 145 people based in Baltimore. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to electronic records, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with electronic records. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
