Accountant - month-end close (Atlanta, GA)

Silverline Loom Learning Group is an education provider in Atlanta serving students and families, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around student accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to attendance records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with attendance records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
