Accountant - month-end close (Atlanta, GA)

We are growing our team at Silverline Corner Medical and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 141 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Track costs around training materials against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with production lots. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Atlanta. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
