Accountant - month-end close (Atlanta, GA)

Ironwood Ashton Legal Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for court deadlines, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 69 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to court deadlines, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around trust accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with court deadlines. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Atlanta. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
