Accountant - month-end close (Atlanta, GA)

Foxglove Vista Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Atlanta, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 905 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with warranty claims. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Atlanta, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
