Accountant - month-end close (Atlanta, GA)

Nova Cedar Legal Group provides legal services in Atlanta across employment, housing and small-business law. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. People here care about clients, not just cases. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around billing records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with intake forms. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Atlanta, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
