Accountant - month-end close (Atlanta, GA)

Amberfield Vista Markets is a Atlanta retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 781 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to online orders, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
