Accountant - month-end close (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Lumen Vista Housing Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 794 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease compliance, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with lease compliance. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
