Accountant - month-end close (Anchorage, AK)

Rivermark Orchard Care Services Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for caregiver training, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 27 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
