Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Wichita, KS)

Foxglove Pine Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for vehicle inspections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 317 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vehicle inspections, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with vehicle inspections. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
