Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Virginia Beach, VA)

Redstone Bridge Care Services provides in-home and community support in Virginia Beach. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to care plans, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with care plans. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
