Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Tulsa, OK)

Stonegate Glen Arts Center is a cultural organisation in Tulsa presenting exhibitions and performances, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around volunteer programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school partnerships, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with school partnerships. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Tulsa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
