Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Tulsa, OK)

Cedar Quarry Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for fraud alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 48 people based in Tulsa. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fraud alerts, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with fraud alerts. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
