Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Tulsa, OK)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Pike Water Authority Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 216 people based in Tulsa. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to water quality, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around capital projects against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Tulsa. • We reply to every applicant.
