Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Tampa, FL)

We are growing our team at Silverline Iron Medical and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to device records, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with device records. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Tampa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
