Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Tampa, FL)

Stonegate Vale Housing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for resident services, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to resident services, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around lease compliance against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with resident services. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Tampa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
