Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Tampa, FL)

Ironwood Quarry Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Tampa area, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Tampa. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage reports, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around network equipment against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with outage reports. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Tampa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
