Accountant - grant and fund accounting (St. Louis, MO)

Westbrook Glen Health Group is a healthcare provider in St. Louis with clinics and support teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Track costs around clinic supplies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to referrals, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with referrals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
