Accountant - grant and fund accounting (St. Louis, MO)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Amber Pharma and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 34 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory filings, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with regulatory filings.
