Accountant - grant and fund accounting (St. Louis, MO)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Vista Manufacturing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 62 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in St. Louis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
