Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Savannah, GA)

Stonegate Ember Manufacturing makes precision components in Savannah. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
