Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Savannah, GA)

Ironwood Summit Medical builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Savannah, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Patient safety shapes every decision. What you will do • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with production lots. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Savannah. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
