Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Savannah, GA)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Loom Financial and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Teams collaborate across risk, service and technology. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor spend, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with vendor spend. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Savannah. • We reply to every applicant.
