Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Savannah, GA)

Rivermark West Care Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for caregiver training, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 186 people based in Savannah. What you will do • Track costs around licensing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with caregiver training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
