Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Savannah, GA)

Ironwood Keystone Care Services provides in-home and community support in Savannah. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to care plans, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around caregiver training against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with care plans. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
