Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Savannah, GA)

Redstone Ridge Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for parts orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Customers come back because we explain what they need and what they do not. What you will do • Track costs around supplier deliveries against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Savannah. • We reply to every applicant.
